(See below for details)Meet the Dahlonega Merchants' AssociationThe Chamber of Commerce and the DMA hosted a reception for visiting travel writers March 18, 2008 at Hummingbird Lane Art Gallery on the Square. The photos below were taken by Cindy Simmons of Froghollow Photography Studio. What we do best: Work together! Shown here, Angelia Wilson, President of DMA, Gary Powers, President Dahlonega Chamber of Commerce, and Kathy Yankus, owner of Cranberry Corners, discuss the recent Celtic Festival while getting the table ready for the visiting travel writers reception. Bonnie Trufan and Amy Strickland of Hummingbird Lane Art Gallery and Kathy Yankus put the finishing touches to the Media Information Packages. (Attention Media: We're ready for you in Dahlonega! Just request a media package and you'll be furnished with information about downtown businesses, photographs and more!) Everyone is involved. Shown here, artist Anita Elder shares some of her artistic secrets with one of the writers. Dahlonega is as rich in the arts as we are in history, and Anita is the perfect example: she has been a working artist in Dahlonega for over 20 years. All the writers had to do was relax and enjoy the view... and the great conversations! Members of the Dahlonega Merchants' Association conspire on what we'll do next! Shown here are Kathy Yankus of Cranberry Corners, Tony Owens of The Fudge Factory, Sheila Litherland, Chamber of Commerce, Mike Miller of Top of the Square B & B, and Paul Hoffman, Sr. of Paul Thomas Chocolates.
